I was just wondering if it is possible to accidentally delete a default app on a Mac or if it is like the iPhone where you can't delete default applications?

Nope. You can't removed the default apps.

Yu probably could with Terminal but only if you PM me and give me a compelling reason why you want to. I see no reason why certain commands won't let you do that, even if Finder's UI wouldn't. Then again, they may have it down in the kernel.
But no worries, a script couldn't do that, to do so in the terminal takes some steps.

They were making a comparism, is it like on the phone that you can't delete default apps on a mac, not if you could delete the apps on a phone.

Stuff on a Mac can be removed. Not on the phone.

Forgot to add; nothing happens on accident, you have to do something to make it happen and you are asked if you are sure.

That's good, and how do you install a Dmg file, such as Skype, what is the commands to drag and drop the app in the applications folder?
